Announcing CASSY Impact Report 2024
It’s been a momentous year! We’re celebrating fifteen years of impact – supporting students, serving schools, and changing lives.
As we mark our fifteenth anniversary, we’ve been reflecting on our roots. CASSY’s very first program supported students in the Ravenswood City School District in the summer of 2009. We’ve been coming alongside RCSD students ever since, helping them overcome the challenges they face so they can reach their full potential as students and in life. At CASSY, we believe that mental health support should not be determined by ZIP code. Providing school-based therapy to students free of charge eliminates barriers to access, leveling the playing field so all students can rise.
In this year’s impact report, we feature our fifteen-year partnership with the Ravenswood City School District as well as the community partnerships we’ve forged to support students’ academic and social/emotional wellbeing. Partnership and collaboration are central to who we are. As just one example, the Ravenswood Wellness Partnership (RWP) Practicum Consortium is an innovative collaboration between CASSY, Child Mind Institute, Children’s Health Council, and Stanford Medicine – Children’s Health to train doctoral students who are culturally responsive and grounded in the communities they serve. Working together, we increase access to mental health care to improve outcomes for East Palo Alto and Belle Haven youth.
We’re proud of where we’ve been and excited for what’s ahead … here’s to the next fifteen years!
