Children Now publishes a report card each year which surveys the well-being of California kids along with a roadmap for the future. While California received an “A” for access to health insurance, the state received a “D” for not providing adequate mental health services needed for all children to thrive. Children Now believes the solution lies in better identifying and supporting youth who are having a mental health crisis, along with providing training and resources to raise the bar for youth wellness is California.
