For Students
CASSY provides comprehensive mental health services to students at all our partner schools. This includes on-campus counseling and proactive mental health education for students, including Special Education students, free of charge.
Ongoing Counseling
CASSY provides individual and group counseling sessions on-campus during school hours. Group topics include Grief and Loss, Anger Management, Victims of Violence, and Social Skills Training.
Crisis Intervention and Treatment
Sometimes a traumatic event, such as the death of a student, affects the entire student body. For such a school-wide crisis, CASSY works together with the school to identify those in need and provide grief counseling for students.
Proactive Mental Health Education
CASSY Staff joins individual classrooms to provide presentations on topics including: Depression, Suicide Awareness, Mindfulness, and Social Skills. We adapt our presentations to be appropriate for the grade level to accommodate whether we are working on Anti-Bullying strategies for 3rd graders or Test Anxiety for 11th graders.
For School Staff
CASSY is available for consultation and staff training on mental health issues at all our partner schools. These services are offered at no cost to the schools we serve.
Staff Consultation
CASSY becomes an integral part of each school’s team. School staff can freely consult with the on-campus therapists regarding disconcerting situations that they see in their classrooms, in the halls or anywhere on campus.
Staff Training
We provide staff training on mental health issues such as Child Protective Services (CPS) reporting requirements, classroom management of grief and loss, and how to identify red flags.
For Parents & Community
CASSY provides confidential consultations with parents, parent education on mental health issues, and outreach to the broader community.
Parent Consultation
CASSY therapists are experts in dealing with child/adolescent behaviors and issues. We offer parents confidential consultations at the schools we serve, help them distinguish between normal and risky behaviors, and secure additional support when needed.
Community Outreach
CASSY provides parent education opportunities by giving presentations and leading discussions about raising emotionally healthy adolescents. These presentations include our proven Latino Outreach program where the sessions are conducted in Spanish and address specific cultural needs of the Latino community.
