Want to Feel Happier? Get Active This April

Why is exercise good for you? Besides strengthening your body, a host of research shows that moving has multiple benefits for your mental and emotional health. For starters, evidence shows:

  1. Exercise is good for your brain; it actually helps cognition.
  2. Exercise improves sleep.
  3. Exercise improves mental health, alleviates anxiety, and lifts your mood.
  4. Exercise acts almost like a vaccine against stress.
  5. Exercise can ease and even ward off depression.

With these facts in mind, the folks at Action for Happiness would like to encourage you to get active this April. They offer a set of small daily actions designed to help you get moving in order to stay active and healthy. There are so many ways to do it – so get up and move!
