Research shows that doing good actually makes you feel good, so the folks at Action for Happiness would like to encourage us to apply that principle to how we treat ourselves.

By changing the way you think about and speak to yourself, forgiving yourself for mistakes, and taking time to do what fills you, you can become a more resilient, grounded, generous-hearted person. Being kind to ourselves overflows in compassion toward others. Here’s a daily calendar of self-care ideas to get you started.

Action for Happiness is a “movement of people taking action to create a happier and kinder world, together.” A non-religious, non-sectarian organization, it helps people “learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, for ourselves and others.”
