Cultivate Joy This June
Amidst the difficulties and challenges of life, joy can be actively cultivated. The Harvard Study of Adult Development and other research have identified elements that increase joy in your daily life: building relationships, practicing gratitude, taking time to laugh, and letting go of comparison. Whether by practicing gratitude, reframing negative thoughts, spreading kindness, or finding the funny side of a situation, the folks at Action for Happiness encourage us to look for the good to cultivate joy this June.
They have put together a calendar of small, doable actions to take this month that can help increase your joy quotient.
You can download and print the calendar here.
Action for Happiness is a “movement of people taking action to create a happier and kinder world, together.” A non-religious, non-sectarian organization, it helps people “learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, for ourselves and others.”
